Earnings Announcement Calendar

Earnings announcements are required by all public companies, so investors are able to see how they are performing financially on a quarterly or annual basis.  Stock analysts will normally issue earnings estimates leading up to the announcement, which is their own predictions on how the company will report.  If a company reports better than what most analysts are predicting, the share price generally will go up after the announcement.
